High Noon Handmade is Moving to the Hudson Valley!

Hello! I have some news that will impact upcoming releases. At the end of April, High Noon Handmade is moving to the Hudson Valley in Upstate New York. That’s right! My frigid ass is going back up north where it belongs. It’s bittersweet because I used to think I could live anywhere, and there are things that I really tried to make work for myself down here in Georgia. The truth is that I miss my family, I miss snow, I miss being comfortable in the summer time, I miss the straightforward (see also: crass) behavior of Northern people, and I miss having friends within a reasonable distance from my home. I tried for almost three years to get used to living in the South and I just don’t fit in here. And that’s OK! Everything isn’t for everybody, and I learned a lot about myself and my needs from trying so hard to live somewhere that is outside of my comfort zone. I’m grateful for the time I spent here even though it has been difficult, and now it’s time to move on with a better understanding of how I want to live.

What this means for the business: Because I am going to Nepal at the beginning of April and moving to another state at the end, there will only be one release for that month. Tentatively, it will be on April 24th. After that, I have to pack up the workshop and put together a new one in New York. I am hoping to get back to work by the middle of May but it’s likely that I won’t be able to get more jewelry made until the end of that month. This means that today, March 30th, and April 24th are the last chances to buy my jewelry before I take at least a month off. This also means that I will NOT be attending the APP Conference and Expo this year. I really wanted to, and I agonized over this decision, but I just can’t see how I could possibly make enough jewelry to justify the cost of attending. I will be back to the expo in 2025 if everything goes as planned.

As always, I am grateful to everyone who supports my business and I will keep you updated as things change.
